Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper Authorization in Handler for Custom URL Scheme (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-33606)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to the affected application fails to restrict custom URL schemes properly. A remote attacker can retrieve sensitive files and plant new medical images or overwrite existing medical images on a victim's system.
2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-28877)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
