Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 vulnerabilities.
1) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-39826)
CWE-ID: CWE-22 - Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote attacker can trick the victim to click on a specially crafted URL and read contests of arbitrary files on the system.
2) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-27238)
CWE-ID: CWE-362 - Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition. A local user can exploit the race and gain unauthorized access to sensitive information and escalate privileges on the system.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-27241)
CWE-ID: CWE-20 - Improper input validation
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
4) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-27240)
CWE-ID: CWE-20 - Improper input validation
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:H/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Amber
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the system.
