Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-26308)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of memory when unpacking a broken Pack200 file. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-21183)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core component in Oracle WebLogic Server. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.
3) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-21182)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core component in Oracle WebLogic Server. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.
4) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-21175)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to manipulate data.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core component in Oracle WebLogic Server. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to manipulate data.
5) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-22262)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform SSRF attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when parsing URL with the UriComponentsBuilder component. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and trick the application to initiate requests to arbitrary systems.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker gain access to sensitive data, located in the local network or send malicious requests to other servers from the vulnerable system.
Note, this vulnerability exists due to incomplete fix for #VU87614 (CVE-2024-22259) and #VU86695 (CVE-2024-22243).
6) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-21181)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Core component in Oracle WebLogic Server. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
