1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-42099)
The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the dasd_fba_free_cp() function in drivers/s390/block/dasd_fba.c, within the dasd_eckd_free_cp() and dasd_eckd_dump_ccw_range() functions in drivers/s390/block/dasd_eckd.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
