This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-3559)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in the regex handler. A remote attacker can send specially crafted data to the mail server, trigger a use-after-free error and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.


2) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51766)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to spoof email messages.

The vulnerability exists due to an error when handling line endings other than <CR><LF>. A remote attacker can spoof contents of email message and bypass SPF protection mechanism.
