SB2024081386 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows Network Address Translation (NAT)

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38132)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in Windows Network Address Translation (NAT). A remote attacker can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and cause a denial of service condition on the system.

2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38126)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in Windows Network Address Translation (NAT). A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
