The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to resource management error within the register_winch_irq() function in arch/um/drivers/line.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

2) Memory leak (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-39484)
