DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources when parsing a large number of address headers (e.g. From, To, Cc, Bcc, etc.). A remote attacker can send a specially crafted email address to the server, trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
MitigationUpdate the affected package dovecot to the latest version.
