Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-45691)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.
The vulnerability exists due to an error when handling "magic hash" passwords. When restricting access to a Lesson activity with a password, certain passwords could be bypassed/less secure due to a loose comparison in the password checking logic.
2) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-45690)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions when deleting OAuth2 linked accounts. A remote user can bypass implemented security restrictions and delete OAuth2 linked accounts of other users.
3) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-45689)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in dynamic tables implementation. A remote user can bypass implemented security restrictions and access otherwise restricted information.
