Description

This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-45694)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the web service. A remote attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-45695)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the web service. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Hidden functionality (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-45696)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system

The vulnerability exists due to hidden functionality (backdoor) is present in software. A remote attacker on the local network can use this functionality to forcibly enable the telnet service and log in using hard-coded credentials.

4) Hidden functionality (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-45697)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system

The vulnerability exists due to hidden functionality (backdoor) is present where the telnet service is enabled when the WAN port is plugged in. A remote attacker can can log in and execute OS commands using hard-coded credentials.

5) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-45698)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the telnet service. A remote user can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
