Description
This security bulletin contains information about 9 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Prototype pollution (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-27307)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript code.
The vulnerability exists due to malicious expression can use the transform operator to override properties on the `Object` constructor and prototype.. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform prototype pollution, which can result in denial of service, remote code execution or other unexpected behavior in applications that evaluate user-provided JSONata expressions.
2) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-34169)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to an integer truncation issue when processing malicious XSLT stylesheets. A remote non-authenticated attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application to corrupt Java class files generated by the internal XSLTC compiler and execute arbitrary Java bytecode.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20861)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of SpEL expressions. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
4) Incorrect Conversion between Numeric Types (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-3635)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to GzipSource does not handle an exception that might be raised when parsing a malformed gzip buffer. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
5) Uncontrolled memory allocation (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-10237)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system. The weakness exists due to unbounded memory allocation. A remote attacker can cause the service to crash and deserialize attacker-provided data, because the AtomicDoubleArray class (when serialized with Java serialization) and the CompoundOrdering class (when serialized with GWT serialization) perform eager allocation without appropriate checks on what a client has sent and whether the data size is reasonable.
6) LDAP injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-33201)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in applications that use an LDAP CertStore from Bouncy Castle to validate X.509 certificates. During the certificate validation process, Bouncy Castle inserts the certificate's Subject Name into an LDAP search filter without any escaping, which leads to an LDAP injection vulnerability. A remote non-authenticated attacker can use a specially crafted X.509 certificate to bypass authentication process and gain unauthorized access to the application.
7) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-33202)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources when parsing OpenSSL PEM encoded streams containing X.509 certificates. A remote attacker can send ASN.1 data through the PEMParser to trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
8) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-45288)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient limitations placed on the amount of CONTINUATION frames that can be sent within a single HTTP/2 stream. A remote attacker can send specially crafted HTTP/2 requests to the server and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.9) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20863)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote user can use a specially crafted SpEL expression and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
