Description

This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-9463)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send specially crafted requests to the system and execute arbitrary OS commands as root.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-9464)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote authenticated user can pass specially crafted request to the system and execute arbitrary OS commands as root.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-9465)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.

4) Cleartext storage of sensitive information (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-9466)

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to firewall usernames, passwords, and API keys generated using those credentials are stored in plain text on the system. A local user can obtain credentials of other users.

5) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-9467)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
