Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-31975)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application in Server for NFS. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.


2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-33454)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error within the yasm_expr_get_intnum() function in libyasm/expr.c. A remote attacker can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


3) Memory leak (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-31975)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform DoS attack on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due memory leak within the yasm_intnum_copy() function in /libyasm/intnum.c. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file and perform denial of service attack.
