SB2024110103 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Rockwell Automation ThinManager

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Missing Authentication for Critical Function (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-10386)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to missing authentication for critical function. A remote attacker can send specially crafted messages to the device manipulate the database.

2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-10387)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and cause a denial of service condition on the system.
