SB2024110525 - Multiple vulnerabilities in All-in-One WP Migration and Backup plugin for WordPress

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Inclusion of Sensitive Information in Log Files (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-8852)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to software stores sensitive information into log files. A remote attacker can read the log files and gain access to sensitive data.

2) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-9162)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to missing file type validation during the export. A remote administrator can send a specially crafted request and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

Remediation

Install update from vendor's website.
