1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-50188)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to memory corruption within the dp83869_configure_fiber() function in drivers/net/phy/dp83869.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
