Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-11156)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted DOE file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-11155)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted DOE file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-12130)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted DOE file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.

4) Improper Initialization (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-11158)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper initialization. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted DOE file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
