This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Inclusion of Sensitive Information in Log Files (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-6104)

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to software stores sensitive information into log files. A local user can read the log files and gain access to sensitive data obtain from HTTP requests.


2) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38564)

The vulnerability allows a local user to bypass certain security restrictions.

The vulnerability exists due to improper checks within with bpf_prog_attach_check_attach_type() function in kernel/bpf/syscall.c. A local user can bypass certain security restrictions.
