This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Exposed dangerous method or function (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-6914)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.

The vulnerability exists due to the exposure of a dangerous function within the implementation of the user self-registration process. A remote attacker can bypass authentication process and gain unauthorized access to the application.


2) Arbitrary file upload (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-7074)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of file during file upload within the SynapseArtifactUploaderAdmin endpoint. A remote administrator can upload a malicious file and execute it on the server.
