Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 vulnerabilities.
1) Link following (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-57728)
CWE-ID: CWE-59 - Improper Link Resolution Before File Access ('Link Following')
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:A/U:Clear
The vulnerability allows a remote user to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to insecure link following. A remote administrator can upload a specially crafted zip file and execute arbitrary code on the system.
2) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-57727)
CWE-ID: CWE-22 - Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:A/U:Green
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.
3) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-57726)
CWE-ID: CWE-264 - Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:A/U:Green
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions. A remote user can create API keys with excessive permissions and gain administrator access on the target system.
