Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Division by zero (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-21710)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to crash the application.
The vulnerability exists due to a divide by zero error within the eps_print_page() function in gdevepsn.c. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted PDF file and crash the application.
2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-38559)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the devn_pcx_write_rle() function in base/gdevdevn.c. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PDF document, pass it to the affected application, trigger memory corruption and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
