The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to signed to unsigned conversion error error in the Layer 2 Control Protocol daemon (l2cpd). A remote non-authenticated attacker can cause the l2cpd process to crash and restart, causing a Denial of Service (DoS).
