Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Untrusted Pointer Dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32277)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to untrusted pointer dereference in I/O subsystem. A local user can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
2) Untrusted search path (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-29223)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to usage of an untrusted search path. A local user can execute arbitrary code with escalated privileges.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-31153)
The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A local user can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
4) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-31858)
The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system with elevated privileges.
