The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the packet_dev_mc(), packet_mc_add(), packet_getsockopt() and packet_notifier() functions in net/packet/af_packet.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
