The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to sensitive data storage in improperly locked memory in Windows Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) Device Host. A remote user on the local network can win a race condition and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
