The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the cxl_cper_trace_uncorr_port_prot_err() and cxl_cper_handle_prot_err() functions in drivers/cxl/core/ras.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
