Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 vulnerabilities.
1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53014)
CWE-ID: CWE-122 - Heap-based Buffer Overflow
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in InterpretImageFilename function. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and gain access to sensitive information on the target system.
2) Memory leak (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53019)
CWE-ID: CWE-401 - Missing release of memory after effective lifetime
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due memory leak in magick stream. A remote attacker can force the application to leak memory and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
3) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53101)
CWE-ID: CWE-121 - Stack-based buffer overflow
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Amber
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in image.c. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53015)
CWE-ID: CWE-835 - Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop')
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:P/U:Green
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop when writing during a specific XMP file conversion command. A remote attacker can consume all available system resources and cause denial of service conditions.
