Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-12133)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources processing a large number of SEQUENCE OF or SET OF elements in a certificate. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

2) Inconsistent interpretation of HTTP requests (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-1135)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform HTTP request smuggling attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of HTTP requests when handling Transfer-Encoding headers. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the server and smuggle arbitrary HTTP headers.

Successful exploitation of vulnerability may allow an attacker to poison HTTP cache and perform phishing attacks.

3) Resource management error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-57699)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper management of internal resources within the application when handling a specially crafted JSON input. A remote attacker can pass a large number of ’{’ characters to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Note, the vulnerability exists due to incomplete fix for #VU75044 (CVE-2023-1370).

4) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-27113)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to NULL pointer dereference within the xmlPatMatch() function in pattern.c. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted XML document to the affected application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
