Description

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper resource shutdown or release error in the SIP ALG. A remote non-authenticated attacker can cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).

When an MX Series device with an MS-MPC is configured with 2 or more service sets which are both processing SIP calls, a specific sequence of call events will lead to a crash and restart of the MS-MPC.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
