Description

This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-36520)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the net_connectmsg Protocol Buffer Message functionality. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-48498)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the Distributed Transaction component. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

3) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-35966)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the CDB2SQLQUERY protocol buffer message handling. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

4) Reachable assertion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-36512)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a reachable assertion when handling a distributed transaction heartbeat. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted protocol buffer message and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.

5) Reachable assertion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-46354)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a reachable assertion in the Distributed Transaction Commit/Abort Operation functionality. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted network packet and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
