Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-40907)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to inclusion of code from libfcgi/fcgiapp.c vulnerable to an integer overflow, as described in #VU107896 (CVE-2025-23016). A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the application, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the system.
2) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-23016)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to an integer overflow within the ReadParams() function in fcgiapp.c. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted "nameLen" or "valueLen" values in data to the IPC socket, trigger an integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
