Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53014)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in InterpretImageFilename function. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and gain access to sensitive information on the target system.

2) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53015)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop when writing during a specific XMP file conversion command. A remote attacker can consume all available system resources and cause denial of service conditions.

3) Memory leak (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53019)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due memory leak in magick stream. A remote attacker can force the application to leak memory and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.

4) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-53101)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in image.c. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
