SB2025081270 - Two spoofing vulnerabilities in Microsoft Edge for Android

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.

1) Spoofing attack (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-49736)

CWE-ID: CWE-451 - User Interface (UI) Misrepresentation of Critical Information (Clickjacking, spoofing)

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform spoofing attack.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect processing of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can modify the content of the vulnerable link to redirect the victim to a malicious site.

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform spoofing attack.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect processing of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can  show an extension's popup over a permission prompt or screen share dialog allowing the extension to spoof parts of the prompt's UI that shows its origin.
