The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the nvmet_pci_epf_queue_response() and nvmet_pci_epf_exec_iod_work() functions in drivers/nvme/target/pci-epf.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
