1) Improper locking (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-38720)

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the hbg_reset_prepare(), hbg_reset_done(), hbg_pci_err_reset_prepare() and hbg_pci_err_reset_done() functions in drivers/net/ethernet/hisilicon/hibmcge/hbg_err.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
