1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-38688)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to memory corruption within the iopt_area_contig_next() function in drivers/iommu/iommufd/io_pagetable.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
