Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-9162)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input within the keycloak-model-storage-service component. The KeycloakRealmImport custom resource substitutes placeholders within imported realm documents, potentially referencing environment variables. A remote privileged user can inject malicious content during the realm import procedure and gain access to sensitive information.

2) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-8419)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SMTP commands.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient input validation during e-mail registration. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and send out e-mail messages.

3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-29458)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in convert_strings in tinfo/read_entry.c in the terminfo library. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.

4) Double free (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-8058)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the regcomp() function in case previous memory allocations fail. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger double free error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
