Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-22134)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-26603)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the str_to_reg() function in src/register.c. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the system.



3) Improper Neutralization of Argument Delimiters in a Command (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-29768)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the zip.vim plugin. A remote attacker can trick the victim into reading a specially crafted .zip archive and execute arbitrary OS commands on the system.
