Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 vulnerabilities.

1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-23274)

CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in jpeg encoding. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to denial of service (DoS) condition.

2) Division by zero (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-23273)

CWE-ID: CWE-369 - Divide By Zero

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:A/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the divide-by-zero issue. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted JPEG file and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.

3) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-23275)

CWE-ID: CWE-787 - Out-of-bounds write

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:A/VC:L/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear

The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A local user can provide certain image dimensions, trigger an out-of-bounds write and gain access to sensitive information the target system or perform a denial of service (DoS) attack..
