The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the phylink_get_fixed_state(), phylink_mac_initial_config() and phylink_resolve() functions in drivers/net/phy/phylink.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
