The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the phylink_resolve(), phylink_create(), phylink_bringup_phy() and phylink_disconnect_phy() functions in drivers/net/phy/phylink.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
