The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the generic_hwtstamp_get_lower() and generic_hwtstamp_set_lower() functions in net/core/dev_ioctl.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
