The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition within the ath6kl_htc_pipe_rx_complete() function in drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath6kl/htc_pipe.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
