Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59190)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Windows Search Service. A remote attacker can trick a victim to access a malicious folder or directory and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59253)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in Windows Search Service. A local user can bypass implemented security restrictions and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59198)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Windows Search Service. A remote user can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
