Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Uncontrolled Recursion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-43718)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to uncontrolled recursion when handling deeply nested structures within the metadata (such as GTS_PDFEVersion) of a PDF document. A remote attacker can pass a specially crafted PDF document to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-52885)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the StructTreeRoot class. A remote attacker can pass a specially crafted PDF file to the application, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
