1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-62565)

The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in Windows File Explorer. A local user can wait for a victim to perform minimal interaction with a malicious file such as selecting (single-click) or inspecting (right-click) and gain elevated privileges on the target system.


2) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-64658)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in Windows File Explorer. A local user can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and escalate privileges on the system.
