Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-55125)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when reading backup configuration file. A remote user with Backup or Tape Operator permissions can create a specially crafted backup configuration file and execute arbitrary code as root. 


2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59468)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when processing password parameter. A remote user with Backup Administrator permissions can execute arbitrary code as the postgres user.


3) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59469)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions. A remote user with Backup or Tape Operator permissions can write arbitrary files as root. 


4) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59470)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when reading interval and order parameters. A remote user with Backup or Tape Operator permissions can execute arbitrary code as postgres user.
