Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Exposed dangerous method or function (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-69258)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.

The vulnerability exists due to exposure of the LoadLibraryEX feature in MsgReceiver.exe that listens on port 20001/TCP. A remote non-authenticated attacker can send message 0x0a8d to load an attacker-controlled DLL into MsgReceiver.exe, leading to execution of attacker-supplied code under the security context of SYSTEM.


2) Unchecked return value (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-69259)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to an unchecked return value. A remote non-authenticated attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-69260)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote non-authenticated attacker can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
