SB2026020318 - Multiple vulnerabilities in ESP-IDF

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-25508)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in the BLE ATT Prepare Write handling of the BLE provisioning transport. A remote attacker on the local network can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and cause a denial of service condition on the system.

2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-25507)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in the BLE provisioning transport layer. A remote attacker on the local network can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
