Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-25583)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in CIccFileIO::Read8(). A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted ICC profile file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-25585)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in IccCmm.cpp:5793 when reading through index during ICC profile processing. A remote attacker can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-25584)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in CIccTagFloatNum<>::GetValues() at IccTagBasic.cpp:6634 when processing a malformed ICC profile. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

4) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-25582)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in CIccIO::WriteUInt16Float() when converting malformed XML to ICC profiles via iccFromXml tool. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
